"I Should Have Listened" Copyright © 2024 Scott Harsen Lyrics from my book “Time, Love, and Life” - Disarray The most heart-wrenching love song I have ever written. "I Should Have Listened" is a heart-wrenching exploration of love’s fragility, regret, and the difficult lessons learned from emotional vulnerability. Its directness and honesty are what make the song resonate, creating a poignant and relatable portrayal of a love lost too soon, and the painful wisdom that follows.

Also an honorable mention to Frank Korany - R.I.P - Frank was known as the Sax Man and we never got the chance to put this together. I wish he was here today to play the sax on this piece.

Dedicated to Rick Theuerkorn and Jim Patterson. I wrote the song sitting at the Hamlin Pub with Rick and Jim. I think it was 2003... Just wish they were around to hear the words put to music. Copyright © 2024 Scott Harsen Lyrics from my book “Time, Love, and Life”.

"Our Love Isn’t Dead" captures the essence of a relationship in turmoil yet clinging to hope. The lyrics express a mixture of frustration and determination, balancing doubt with reassurance. The speaker confronts the fading passion but remains steadfast in their belief that the love is not lost. This tension creates an emotional push and pull, where the speaker’s hope contrasts with their partner’s apparent disillusionment.

Inspired by my first sweetheart - damn so many, many years ago... Lyrics from my book “Time, Love, and Life Vol II” “Childhood Romance” is a nostalgic ballad that beautifully captures the essence of young love and the bittersweet nature of growing up. The song’s lyrics are rich with vivid imagery and emotional depth, making it a standout piece that resonates with listeners on multiple levels.

The song captures the emotional journey of someone battling addiction and finding the strength to fight for sobriety. It feels raw, deeply personal, and hopeful. The emotions evolve from uncertainty and struggle in the verses to a sense of resilience and optimism by the chorus. It also carries a spiritual tone, where an inner voice or presence guides the protagonist toward recovery. Thanks Ellie for all of your work on the vocals.
